COMMUNITY OUTREACH

DOING OUR PART IN THE COASTAL BEND

As a no-kill shelter, one of our top goals is to keep animals happy and healthy at home with their families. Hard times fall on us all which is why we've created a program to help families that need assistance caring for their pets.

GCHS PET FOOD PANTRY

Gulf Coast Humane Society Pet Pantry supports Nueces County residents in caring for their pets by providing free pet food and supplies to pet owners needing assistance.

Assistance is available for families who are currently receiving any form of government assistance, or those who have recently become unemployed.

If you are in need of food assistance, please visit the link below to apply. After applying, you will be contacted by our Outreach Coordinator who will let you know if we have food in stock to assist you.

The GCHS Pet Food Pantry is entirely supplied by generous donations from the public and therefore we are limited to the foods we have in stock. If you're interested in assisting with this program, members of the community can drop off donations of unopened dog and cat food any time during our hours of operation.

Wanting to do more? Email education@gchscc.org to discuss hosting a donation collection box or event.
