Sharon Ray has 22 years of non-profit experience with The Salvation Army where she lived and served in 10 different cities (8 different states). In 2016, the Ray family left the ministry of the Salvation Army and made Corpus Christi their forever home and Sharon was welcomed to GCHS in October 2016.
Sharon works with the Board of Directors and helps determine the Gulf Coast Humane Society values, mission, vision, and short and long term goals. Sharon also monitors development and implementation of standards, controls, systems, and procedures of GCHS programs and services. Regularly evaluates GCHS programs and services to ensure quality and organizational stability Supervises and assures adequate control of GCHS fiscal activities including budgeting, reporting, and auditing. Meets with donors, clients, volunteers, and the community to foster lasting relationships centered on bettering animal welfare Assures awareness and response to community needs and helps generate community involvement Guarantees a donor-centered organization through comprehensive relationship-building programs focused on loyalty and philanthropy
Christina Morales has been with GCHS since 2010 and has worked in all departments such as transition, puppy condo, kittery, clinic, and now heads the admin department as the buisness manager. Her love of animals and passion for helping our four legged friends has made her a intragul part in the mission of GCHS
