COMMUNITY PROGRAMS
READ AND ROLL OVER
ALL AGES | 1 HOUR
This program’s objective is to provide our shelter pets with a calming experience to help their confidence and quality of life. Read and Roll Over creates a safe environment for the shelter animals and reader to both enjoy themselves. The reader will receive a book or bring their own book and sit in front of a kennel to read to the shelter pets. This program is recommended to people of all ages.
ONCE UPAWN A TIME
ALL AGES | GUEST DOG | 1 HOUR
With this program, a Humane Educator will come read a story about animal welfare or pet adoptions. Once uPAWn a time will give the audience an opportunity to learn from an expert in Humane Education, while being able to interact with real shelter pets.
Off-site: A humane educator will visit your school or facility with a guest shelter pet. They will host an hour-long program including an introduction, story time, and a meet and greet.
On-site: The program will be hosted in Gulf Coast Humane Society’s community room. A humane educator will host an hour program including an introduction, story time, and a tour of the facility.
