JOIN THE LEGACY SOCIETY
The Gulf Coast Humane Society depends on the support of caring people like you to continue our mission. Thanks to your generosity and support, GCHS has been able to save thousands of animals.
Together, we are able to touch the lives of so many animals in need. Planned gifts make a huge impact on our ability to continue this lifesaving work for years to come. Let Your Love Be Your Legacy.
Many people contribute to nonprofit groups during their lifetime, but only a small number continue this support in their wills or estate plans. You can be one of those special people. You can become a member of the GCHS Legacy Society.
We know that animals matter to you. A lasting gift is a wonderful way to honor the people and animals that have made an impact on your life. Gifts large and small are important. Charitable giving is not only for the wealthy. It is for anyone who wants their legacy of love to live beyond their lifetime. You can make an important, lasting difference for animals.
Planned giving is a unique charitable tool that allows you to support the Gulf Coast Humane Society’s work for animals for many years to come while also fulfilling your own financial goals and objectives. The GCHS Legacy Society was established to recognize and thank those who have included GCHS in their estate plans.
These are just some of the ways you can become a member of the GCHS Legacy Society:
One of the easiest ways to join the Legacy Society is to name the Gulf Coast Humane Society Endowment Trust in your will. This trust serves to ensure that this organization will be providing rescue, care, and treatment of animals in the Coastal Bend for many generations to come.
Name the Gulf Coast Humane Society Endowment Trust (GCHSET) as a remainder beneficiary of a life-income arrangement, such as a charitable remainder trust.
Designate the GCHSET as the beneficiary of qualified retirement plan accounts, such as an IRA, 401(k) or 403(b).
Bequeath a U.S. Savings Bond.
Make a gift of life insurance.
Designate the GCHSET as a beneficiary of a bank account.
If you have already included the Gulf Coast Humane Society in a bequest or other planned gift, please let us know. Your willingness to be listed as a member of the GCHS Legacy Society encourages others to follow your example. We respect those who wish to remain anonymous, but we urge you to inform us of your plans on a confidential basis, as it allows GCHS to plan for our future.
GCHS urges all prospective donors to seek the assistance of personal legal and financial advisors in matters relating to their gifts, including the resulting tax and estate planning consequences. The information above is intended to provide general information on gift giving and should not be used as specific legal, tax, or investment advice.
